Book One, also referred to as Volume One, is the first volume of Ava's Demon and contains the first 500 panels of the webcomic, from Chapter One to Chapter Six. Throughout the book, there are several animations such as "End of Chapter One", "Wrathia's Pact", and "The Plan." The art style throughout Volume One sometimes appears inconsistent, as the author, Michelle Czajkowski, redrew a number of panels either due to character redesigns or to censor any vulgarities.
A Kickstarter campaign for hard copy publishing of Book One was successfully funded on June 30, 2013. The initial plan was to publish approximately 2000 copies of the book. Since, Book One has become a tier reward for the Book Two Kickstarter, as well as being sold on the Ava's Demon shop.
